A Sequencer is the central interface in a computer based Digital Audio Workstation. In addition to being the hosting program that coordinates the gear in a (PC based) *recording studio*, a sequencers primary function is as a *digital multi-track recorder,* and acts as the visual command center for external recording hardware.
