John Mayer meets John Legend meets Sublime (A fusion of Alternative/Pop Rock, Soul/Groove, and story-based lyrical content) Leger's unique flavor caters to a diversity of musical tastes. "Pop sensibilities…add to the sophisticated R&B / jazz infused guitar"-Leger fuses groove-based arrangements and popular melodic structure with soulful, autobiographically based lyrics. His acoustic range is as broad as his experiential palate, and as unique as his personal history and professional development.
As a Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist as well as an Engineer/Producer, Leger is well versed in various popular styles. His keen understanding of the founding elements of songwriting, and sound knowledge in rythmic-centered jazz and blues styles are reflected by his musical arrangements and innovative sound (termed "Rock and Soul" by local fans.)
After his tour of duty in Baghdad, Iraq as a combat Infantryman during OIF 06-08, Leger’s sustained commitment to a career in music led him to achieve certification in Music Production & Engineering; he is currently working toward a performance degree in guitar. Devoting 8-12 hours daily to developing as an artist-including songwriting, composing arrangements and sound engineering. Leger’s rigorous schedule also incorporates networking, collaborative projects and entrepreneurial ventures.
His artist catalog contains numerous original songs and productions spanning an array of styles. In addition to continually refining original versions of his songs, Leger also boasts a growing library of eclectic instrumentals, ambient mood music, melodic arrangements and preliminary lyrical sketches. Leger’s work will culminate in the release of his first full-length album-written, performed and produced exclusively at his home studio-in the second quarter of 2010.
